GO HAWKEYES!!

Johns MBA Program at the University of Iowa, invited the families to come for the Homecoming Game and held a "tailgate party" before the game. We enjoyed a big breakfast buffet, with tons of food, and the kids got beads and pom poms, face tattoo's and stickers. They had a blast. It was nice to meet John's classmates/faculty and their families. Afterward we walked down to the game and got there right in time for kickoff. It was great!!

We all got shirts to support the team. Adam say's "I like the Sun Devils best, but now I like the Hawkeye's too" We all agree.
Adam probably enjoyed the game the most out of all the kids. He loved the Football game and the Hot Dogs. (Not sure which one he loved most. He sure can pound the hot dogs) He was bummed when we left early to beat the rush. Luke was such a trooper, we got up really early to make it to the breakfast, and the game started at eleven. By the end of the 3rd quarter he was done. We'll just have to go back for another game sometime. :) We didn't miss much, the game was kind of a dissapointment....they ended up losing.
We were supposed to have really great seats, but there was some glitch in the computer system, and apparently they voided our tickets and resold the seats we were supposed to have. (This happend to all the MBA students) So, we were given new seats, not the greatest, but it was still really fun. Loud, but fun. :) The weather was good, a little hot, but not too bad.
(When does fall hit?) :)

Bekah was of course adorable. She would clap and cheer every time the crowd did. She'll be quite the Cheerleader someday, if she could break away from her dad. :) She loved to watch out for Herkey, the Hawk (the mascot) She would get so excited every time she saw him and would make sure we all saw him too.

We had such a long walk from the car to the field. The kids did great and kept up with the rest of them. Amazing no one got lost. I don't know how many comments we got on our family. I'm sure we were quite a site. Big families are not so common here. I've learned that Iowa sure loves their football. I couldn't believe all the people and the tailgate parties that were going on.
Adam is getting so big. He is such a good brother and is constantly helping Bekah and watching out for her. She sure enjoyed her piggyback ride from her BIG Brother.
