Mary's Wedding Day

Our morning started early. Mary had a couple of hairdressers coming to the house to do all the girls' hair. I was reminded of the movie, "My Big Fat Greek Wedding", that's kinda what it was like around here. :) Mary went first, and then she ran off to get her makeup done. Sheila made waffles for everyone at the house, I thought she was crazy, but she was insistent. They were delicious though and nobody complained :)...I just felt sorry for her, there was so much to do. I'm sure she felt better though just staying busy.It was her little girls' special day and she wanted to help make it that way!

Tad was the other hairdresser. He did most of the bridesmaid's hair and Bekah's. I was so mad at myself that I didn't get a picture of Bekah getting her hair done. It was quite comical, I don't know why I didn't see the humor at the time. He had piercings and tattoo's everywhere, and here he was doing a pretty princess hairdo. :) He did a great job on all the girls' hair.

Mary looked gorgeous when all was said and done. (not that she doesn't always look good) ;) Sheila was beautiful also, and Bekah was just the prettiest little flower girl you have ever seen. I know Mike was smiling down on his 3 beautiful girls. :)

A party bus came to pick us up for the church, I of course was running around doing last minute things, and in the craziness of it all....I FORGOT MY CAMERA!!! I was so mad at myself. I realized this halfway to the church, when I saw the other girls all taking pictures. I had no vehicle, and the bus wasn't turning around for me, so I just had to deal with it. Luckily I was able to get pictures from others. :)

When we got to the church, there were a couple of handsome dudes waiting for us! :)

Jacob, Joey, Adam, Stone (a cousin) and Luke

Mary wanted to have a traditional catholic wedding at the catholic church. It was a beautiful setting, the colors for Easter went perfect with her colors. :) It was a very nice ceremony.

The Newlyweds racing down the isle afterwards. :) Family picture time!!

The Pawlowski/Scasso family

We of course missed having Grandma Charolette there. I know it was so hard for her to miss out on this special day. She is at the hospital in Safford, AZ, recovering from having some cancer cells removed from her leg. We all pray she will get well soon!

The Wedding Party

Husband and Wife outside of the church...Awww...Kissy, Kissy, Kissy! :)

After the ceremony, the whole wedding party packed into the party bus and headed over to the Superstition Mountain Country Club for pictures and the reception.

The Country Club was gorgeous, the scenery was breathtaking, the food was delicious and the weather was perfect! Mary definitely had a fairytale wedding. (despite the little rain shower towards the end). It really made me miss AZ, but I had to remind myself that it was early March (while we still had snow in Iowa) AND it was not May, June, July, August...well you get the point. :) The photographer took pictures before the reception, I can't wait to get some copies, especially since I did not have my camera...grrrr. I will definately post pictures when I get them. I know the photographer got some great ones with both Mary and Bekah.

ANNOUNCING......JEFF AND MARY PANHANS!! Whoo Hoo!!
There was a DJ there playing music the whole time. I think Bekah, (and John) danced almost the whole time. It was very sweet though watching him dance with his little girl.

Joey and Adam also enjoyed dancing. Let me tell you, they have some sweet moves!! I asked Adam later where he learned to dance and he said, "Mostly from movies and stuff!" What has he been watching, Napoleon Dynamite? It was pretty funny, they danced the night away. Poor Jacob was bored by the end he couldn't wait to go. I guess dancing and loud music is not his thing.
My parents were also at the reception and were so wonderful to watch Luke for me so we could enjoy ourselves at the head table. By about 7:30 though, Luke was a monster! He was constantly throwing tantrums and crying, poor guy was beyond exhausted. My parents offered to take him home to Pawlowski's so they could put him to bed. I went with them to the house to get them in and also get a car so John and I would have a way back home. Sheila had rented a couple of Casita's for the night, thinking we could all stay there at the Country Club, but John and I thought the younger kids would sleep better back at the house, so we needed to pick up a car to get back home. Another positive note about going with my parents to get a car was to also get the camera. YEAH!! So I was able to get some shots of the kids dancing before the night ended. Better than nothing!!

I think it turned out to be a wonderful day! We of course missed having Dad there. Although we couldn't see him, I know his spirit was there. He loves his little girl and would not miss this special day for the world. I think we were all on the verge of tears the whole day, but we had to keep thinking about the positive things. We also missed Grandpa Steve...You can almost bet that he and Mike were there, sharing a cold one, enjoying the scene. I even think Mike pulled some strings to have it rain just for a little bit, just to tease Mary. :) I swear it only rained on the Country Club, I would know because it happened on my way back to the reception and there was not a drop of rain until I got near there. :)

We love and miss you two dearly!!

I was able to get some video footage of the boys and their sweet moves. You have to pick out Adam in the background in first video....hilarious! The second video has Joey showing off his awesome break dancing skills! (also kind of in the background) Check them out!
