Our flight back home was scheduled early this morning, we flew out at 7:20 a.m. Sheila and I had both set our alarm for 5:15, but I didn't realize the phone was set to vibrate (how is that supposed to wake me up, John) and I guess Sheila turned hers off and thought she would just close her eyes for a minute. Well, my eye's popped open at 5:45! It felt just like the movie "Home Alone" I wanted to yell "we're late, we're late" John and Sheila both got right up and helped me get the kids dressed. We got to the airport just in time to check in, get past security, and get right onto the plane. It was kinda a stressful morning.
In all my rushing I forgot to get Luke's sippy cup. This kid is a drinkaholic. He constantly is drinking from his sippy cup. Well, he was not a very happy camper when he realized that I did not have his sippy cup. Nothing would make him happy, I tried everything. Luckily though, about an 1 1/2 hours into the trip, HE FELL ASLEEP! :) Which NEVER happens. I was soooo grateful! He slept all the way until we landed, it turned out to be a great flight.
John and Bekah ended up sleeping most of the time also. I think we were all exhausted. It was a whirlwind of a weekend.
Jacob was sweet and moved back with Joey so Luke could have more room. Those two actually had a great time together.
Adam was content to sit by John and play his DS. It turned out to be a wonderful flight!!
We flew into Peoria, IL because it was cheaper than Cedar Rapids, even with having to rent a car to get back home. It was only a couple hour drive back home, so not too bad. We were all starving though by the time we landed, we wanted food the first town we came to, so we stopped in Kickapoo for some subway. :) (I'm sure you can imagine all the jokes that were made) Actually, when we stopped to eat, I went to use the restroom. So, Gross! Not one toilet was flushed, so I came out and told John, "Apparently they only know how to kick a poo, not flush a poo" :) We got back into the car headed home. I forgot to change Luke's diaper when we were stopped. I told John, "Awe man, I could have changed a poo in Kickapoo!" Sorry about all the potty talk. :)

Love, love all the wedding posts. For reason my blog says that you haven't posted for three weeks so I have missed these until to day. Looks like it was such a happy time and so glad that you could be there for it.
John's family is a wonderful one . . . isn't great when you make out like a bandit in the in-law dept?
You did a great job recapping the whole wonderful event and the family doings leading up to it. You are just going to love these accounts when the kids are all grown up. You have quite a brood to keep up with. (With which to keep up?)
