Growing up my mom used to make Valentines Day really special. She would always set the table really nice and make a nice breakfast. (usually heart pancakes, or heart waffles) We would always get a Valentine Card, a chocolate sucker shaped in a heart, and a new comb or hairbrush. (I always thought the last things were kinda funny, but I loved it) I always looked forward to Valentines Day!!
I have also tried to make Valentines Day special with my own family. It is fun to have "traditions" that your children look forward to. As my kids have gotten older, I can see how much they like it. I like to make pink heart pancakes for our Valentine breakfast. We also always get the kids their own "little" box of chocolates. (that way I don't have to share) :)
