"Sunday's" are the trial in my life right now. I can never get the older boys out of bed, I'm always rushing the kids through breakfast, I usually can NEVER find all the Sunday shoes AND we are ALWAYS running late!! This Sunday was no exception only it started out worse than normal. I didn't sleep well at all due to Johns snoring, and Bekah came in early and would not go back to sleep. (Any smart person would just get up and get ready, but I was way to tired and tried to go back to sleep with Bekah bugging and irritating me). What a great start to my day. I finally got up and looked out the window, and what do you know...More Fog!!

That just added to my gloomy, grumpy attitude. Bekah started to get extra difficult during breakfast, and I about lost it! I told her she needed to change her attitude fast or she was going back to bed!! (It might not have been so much telling as it was probably more like yelling and demanding) I then heard Jacob mutter "It sounds like Mom needs to go back to bed" I then said, "What did you say?" He got a terrified look on his face and replied reluctantly "I said maybe mom needs to go back to bed?" Luckily I was able to see the humor in the situation, laughed and then quickly agreed with him. Out of the mouth of babes. :)
Throughout the morning I was unable to shake my grumpy attitude, which brings me back to the title of this blog. By the time we got home from church, this is how I felt...
READY TO EXPLODE!!
READY TO EXPLODE!! I'd like to think that part of being a good mom is knowing when to go to time out, and I went straight to "TIME OUT" before the explosion. (John might say I had already exploded, but believe me, it could have been A LOT worse) I locked myself in my room and stayed there for a couple hours. (I got a nice long nap in the process, just what I needed.) I came out a new and refreshed mom. So much for my great start to my new week!! HA!!

Sorry you had a rough Sunday. It is funny how that day is supposed to be a spiritual day but when you have to get to church on time, get kids ready, and try and make them behave for 3 hours it doesn't turn out so spiritual.
are you guys watching the show "the middle" this sounds just like an episode when the mom needed "15 minutes" to herself
Reminds me of the Sunday many years ago when I couldn't find the mate to my high heels. I hit the one I had on the living room wall to punctuate each word I said (yelled)...."Why can't you kids leave my stuff alone?" I ended up with 8 small holes in the dry wall. (Anyone remember that episode?)
