FUN ON THE ICE
We try really hard to make our children's birthday's special so we let them choose whatever they would like to do for their birthday (within reason). When we asked Joey this year he said he wanted to go ice skating since he had never gone before. Neither had John or I, so we were all excited to try it out. :) By the end of the night, most of us were doing pretty well. I on the other hand, got a little confident in my skating abilities and decided I could chase after Luke. Bad Idea!! I fell flat on my back!! Not only that, but as I fell the camera banged me in the head. Jacob quickly came to my rescue and I used his cool little walker thing to get up. I'm sure it was quite a site. It was pretty embarrasing. :) After that, I took a little more care. I didn't think my bottom could take another fall. Man, it hurt...I know I'm going to be feeling it tomorrow!! Bekah and Luke loved the little walkers, they were both sliding all over the place and were having a ball. It was a ton of fun. It got a little crowded, so we decided it was time to venture out into the -7 degree weather and get some hot chocolate. Nice way to end the night, we made some great memories. Good idea Joey!!

Glad you survived that little adventure, that ice is harder than cement is. I'm proud of you for hanging there with the kids on stuff like this!!
