Secrets

Friday, January 23, 2010
So...Secrets? We all have them right?? Well I'm going to let you in on some of my secrets. Ready? (deep breath) I am not a perfect mom, nor a perfect housewife...(gasp) (I know, you're shocked right?) Actually there are a TON of things that I am NOT perfect at. Let me show you one of them while I "air my dirty laundry" :)
I know, a little ridiculous right? And what's worse is we ALL still have a ton of clothes in our dressers and closets. Actually, after seeing this today, I was tempted to just throw it all away. (I would never do that...I would at least donate...but then I'd have to clean it first. :) I know, I could clothe a small country.) What I should have done was pack it all up in the car and head to the Laundry Mat. So, THIS has been my project today. Actually, it's my project EVERY DAY and I just can't keep up!! HELP!!! I try to do at least do two loads of laundry everyday, but that is not working! I am drowning in laundry!!
I guess I need to look at this all in a more positive light. We have been so blessed in our lives, and I am so thankful my children are nice and warm and have clothes that fit them. :) I really should share the wealth!!

Donate! We have been doing a thing called the "Six Month Purge". Every six months we go through everything and get rid of stuff that is ripped, stained, or doesn't fit. Then we get rid of everything they don't like...those go to the donate pile.

Our space is so cleared now that I've done it three times. Everyone is happier! I still do a lot of laundry, but at least it is stuff they really want and wear.

I have a twin picture to your picture. I'm glad I have good company in the endless pursuit keeping up with laundry. I hear these are the best years of our lives. ;-D

I feel your pain. Who wears all this stuff anyway? Besides our twin photo of the laundry room, we have baskets full of clean and folded stuff that seems to never get put away. Sometimes we just dress the kids out of them. Ugh!!
